In Memory

Kenny Hahs

Kenneth Samuel Hahs was born on August 8, 1955 in Augusta, Georgia.  After graduating from JJ Pearce High School in Richardson, he went to the University of North Texas to major in music. In 1977, he enlisted to serve in the Air Force as Staff Sergeant. This would equip Kenny with a great skill set that he carried with him throughout his lifetime.

Like his father, Kenny was known as an entrepreneur who had many businesses over the years. It could arguably be said that his favorite time spend was when he was playing in the band Noise with the Boys. While that role did not quite afford him a stable income, as a man of many talents, he was drawn into the automobile industry. He wore many hats through the decades from driving as a courier, turning wrenches as a mechanic specializing in Volvos. He spent 19 years with Volvo Cars of North America. He transitioned to start his own business, Caribbean Outdoors where he worked on irrigation projects in and out of Wise county.

Kenny had an affinity for being in and around water which led to relaxing pastimes in fishing, boating, scuba, and water skiing. The adventures took him near and far as he enjoyed the various lakes, oceans and islands. At one point, his retirement plan included sailing around the world on a catamaran.

Once retirement arrived, Kenny enjoyed a more relaxed pace of life. Friends and family would often gather at his home with Bea to enjoy jam sessions lasting late into the night. In between those weekends, Kenny could be found in his garage creating amazing woodworking projects including custom cabinets and furniture.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Beulah ‘Boots’ Hahs and his brother Burt Hahs. He is survived by wife Bea Hahs of Chico, TX, sister Chrystie Thrasher of Austin, TX, son Braden Hahs and wife Sarah of Mineral Wells, TX, daughter Emilee Hahs White and husband Chaden of Alvarado, TX, stepdaughter Brittany White of Carrollton, TX, stepson Wyatt White and wife Renee of Keller, TX, stepson Russell White and wife Katherine of Des Moines, IA. He was blessed with seven grandchildren: Kason, Waylon, Korbin, Gauge, Enzo, Esmee and Everett.
