Howard Kincaid

Howard Bentley Kincaid, 60, of Dallas, Texas passed away Monday September 28, 2015. Howard, a Richardson native, was born in 1955 to Bobbie Kincaid and the late Andrew Kincaid.

Howard was the eldest of his siblings, a sister, Gwen Kincaid Kleinschmidt and a brother, Curtis Kincaid. Howard is survived by his wife Melinda and daughter Lee Ann. A retired paint and body man, he found joy in service amongst the community. For years, he volunteered for the Richardson Independent School District. Howard has volunteered over 2,200 hours with the Dallas Off Road Bike Association (D.O.R.B.A.) as a Trail Steward of the Harry Moss Trail. He was passionate about making a safe and fun trail environment for beginner to advanced riders. He was always looking at opportunities for expansion, leading community rides, coordinating efforts with the city, and working with community groups on volunteer efforts.

This photo was from a mini reunion we had in June of 2015, a few months before Howard died. It is one of the last ones I had taken of him. I had the chance to talk at length with him at the picnic earlier that day, and learned of his passion for mountain biking. He had a strong sense of duty, and was a cheerful volunteer and trail steward for the Dallas Off-Road Bicycle Association (DORBA).
